About lighthearted

“lighthearted” is an alternative, folk band based in Athens, Georgia. The band typically consists of five members with songs ranging from soft and contemplative to upbeat and groovy. Ethan Fogus ofImmersive Atlanta said it best: "lighthearted is the songwriting venture of twin sisters Gracie Huffman and Eliza Lemmon. Featuring Win Cawthorne (electric guitar), Toni Hunlo (drums), and Aidan Hill(bass), the Athens quintet writes the type of hushed, kaleidoscopic songs that appeal to anyone that takes to gorgeous harmonies and plumbing the depths of human nature. Together, the band make perfect music for any long, introspective drive.'

Twin sisters Eliza and Gracie have been playing music together since they can remember, but the band officially formed in 2019. They have been fine-tuning their debut album, releasing four singles in the process that span timbres from introspective and chill to fresh and buoyant. Most recently, they released "again & again," which was added to Spotify editorial playlists "Fresh Finds," "Fresh FindsIndie," and "Fresh Finds Folk." This is the last single off of their upcoming debut album that will be released in April 2023.
